Welcome to the David Lloyd Gallery
David Lloyd has enjoyed an illustrious sporting and commercial career. Competing at the highest level in his beloved sport of tennis for 17 years, including captaining Britain’s Davis Cup tennis team, David went on to become a leading figure in the Lawn Tennis Association and the wider business world.
Since retiring from his tournament career, David has been involved with many successful international business ventures and amassed a significant property portfolio. He is best known for the hugely successful leisure club network, David Lloyd Leisure, which he established in 1982 and has recently been bought by London & Regional for £925 million.
Dinners Made is David Lloyd’s latest venture. The concept, which takes the work and hassle out of preparing evening meals, was successfully launched in the United States and has just reached the UK market.
On the sporting side, David continues to champion the game of tennis through the David Lloyd Tennis Academy and he is also developing the UK’s first National Tennis Academy in the Midlands.
A long time private and, until now, anonymous collector of art, David Lloyd recently purchased the remaining Willard Wigan 70-piece collection, representing the smallest man-made works of art in the world. The David Lloyd Gallery is shortly to tour the collection around the United Kingdom & America.
